v0.6.13
Added
- Designs, CAD parts and board components can be given names of your own with Rename… in their right-click menus. The names show in tabs, lists, the Parts panel and chat, the agent calls things by them, and exported files use them: STEP files, the parts inside a combined STEP, and the board's manufacturing package and JLC files. Folders, part ids and reference designators stay as they are.
- The agent checks whether a module slides into place, how much room is left between parts or around a keep-out zone, and similar what-if questions without changing the design. Each check takes under a second; it used to add a temporary part, which cost a full build of a minute or more per try.
- The agent can point at a part or board component: a card in chat highlights it in the viewer with the agent's note. Chat replies can also show images from the project.
- The message box shows how much of the model's context window the conversation uses, and warns when it is nearly full.
- The Draw dialog adds arrows, text, an eraser, colors, undo and redo, pan and zoom, and drawing on pasted images. It works offline.
Changed
- The title bar keeps only a Home key and the project name. The project name opens Project information; switch projects from Home or with ⌘K.
- CAD edits are faster across the board. Each design keeps a build process ready instead of starting a new one per edit, independent work runs on all cores, build previews and viewer data are produced much faster, and parts converted from a mesh use fast mesh booleans instead of minutes of exact ones per rebuild. Exports and checks on large designs are faster too.
- A CAD runtime update that ships with the app installs on its own, without a click.
Fixed
- Signing in, the community, first-launch runtime downloads, and the agent's web reads, downloads, board resources and datasheets now go through the system proxy. Behind a proxy, GitHub sign-in used to stop with "fetch failed" after the browser handed back.
- CAD edits to a design that imports a large STEP model are several times faster and no longer run out of time. Each build used to read and write the imported model as STEP several times over; it now keeps its parts in a much faster internal format and writes STEP only when you export. A build also no longer writes a whole-assembly STEP file, which for a large model took hundreds of megabytes on every edit.
- A slow CAD part no longer times out because its build took a little longer than usual. The time limit now follows how long the design's last build took, a design's first build gets ten minutes, and a timeout names the part and step it stopped in.
- Comparing a design against an earlier revision works again; it used to fail with "Committed build manifest is missing".
- A project downloaded from the community no longer shows "Last build failed" on its design card after a successful rebuild.
- When design runtime setup fails, the setup dialog and Settings > Runtime show the actual error instead of a generic sentence.
- When macOS refuses access to a projects folder, the app explains why and offers an Open Privacy & Security button instead of showing EPERM.
- Your messages in chat keep their line breaks and spacing exactly as typed.
- Attached images stay sharp in the message box, and the cursor returns to the message after you confirm a mark.
- Next-step suggestions appear after every finished reply, including replies that only answer a question.
- The agent no longer mentions its internal skill and tool names in replies.
- Older pages of a long conversation keep their grouped work log instead of turning into plain text.
- Question cards, error notices and next-step suggestions wrap in narrow columns, and the Confirm button stays visible. On a narrow board panel, Fabrication files shows only its icon.
- The recent projects panel on Home stays beside the prompt and matches its height, including before the first project.
- Parts of a large model or a framed single part no longer disappear in the orthographic view.
- Quitting the app no longer sometimes leaves it running with no windows.
